So called shepherding. They make you dislike or feel guilty for having or wanting outside activities. Dirt Bikes, Martial Arts, Music, for example. Yeah Lloyd Evans is a real piece of work, if only a quarter of what I have seen about him is true he is despicable. His trips to Thailand and the way he shit on his wife and then blame everyone else for having a problem with it. I had to go bleach my eyes after seeing some of it. But this is just my opinion.

He was part of a sxually repressed cult and I’ve encountered many women who grew up strict/repressed to the point of FOMO. Some girls were never allowed to play outside or go to a house party. Some girls never held a boys hand and went to see a movie. Never been to a school dance or prom etc…. Eventually she’s in college and she’s living alone on/off campus and she has some freedom. Eventually she gets her back blown out for the first time …. She’s going to spend the next 5-10yrs “seeing what the world has to offer”. @pilotusaero9383 The key is IF it is true. There is no way any of us can know if any of what has been said of him is true or not, as we're all on the outside looking in. We are NOT able to rationally choose a side or choose to believe anything said by anyone about the situation given there is no way for us to know any of it at all. To choose to believe and take any side in it is immature and irrational at best. I have seen way too much of those kinds of drama situation play out, always publicly for some reason, and people most often react impulsively with their emotions and with that automatically pick sides. Further, there is always more than 4 sides to every single story. There is the sides of each person involved, in this case Lloyd and his ex-wife, the side of those around them, so family and friends, and of course the fourth side is everyone else on the outside, so the public. More sides come out via the fourth as the tale grows taller on down the line. Things get misheard, misunderstood, extrapolated, assumed, embellished and altered. Things even get left out while others get added in. It is important to understand that throughout all situations like these, everyone has a bias in their story. All sides do. And considering all of this? It is unfair and irrational for us who had no involvement and no idea what really happened to take a side, or choose to believe any side of it. If we do, it's akin to if someone did the same to us ourselves. And obviously, no one is going to just sit there and take it, and not give their side to defend themselves and their reputations. None of that is to say he did or didn't do any of what was accused, of course. Just that there is absolutely no way for anyone to know for sure. Just realized you aren't OP haha. My bad.

Lloyd has some personal issues currently with accusations of using donated funds on vacations and prostutes. That by no means diminishes the hours of work he has done to expose the govern body, the watchtower Bible tract society, and the rebranded JW. org. I had baptized door knocking grandparents and my mother expose me to the Jehovah Witnesses mind control cult around five years old and was legally emancipated at 16 so my mother wouldn't be held responsible for me or my actions that may bring reproach against Jehovah or his Earthly organization Watchtower Bible Tract Society or the Congergation she was in. I rejected JW truths at age 5 and forced to meetings until 13, considering bad association, apostate, and Worldly since 16 years old. My life is one trauma after another believing that Armageddon was supposed to be here before I would have even graduated high school. Don't fit in the organization or the world either.

I'm sorry about the hasty map portion as well, my goal with it was more to try to make it short, as I have a bad habit of droning on and on about the things I'm passionate about and didn't want that to happen to this video. If you had seen my prior video (and my first) on JWs, you'd understand why I added the rant about profanity in. If your issue is actually my use of profanity, then join the club, Corey haha. I believe I even referenced that video and all the comments complaining that I use profanity.

RUclips has been equally funky with the likes on videos as it has been with comments showing up lately I've noticed. I'd say about 15-20% of the time my likes suddenly are removed from videos. As for comments on my own content, I won't be notified of MANY, and the ones I can see in the Studio side often only show up 3 to 4 days AFTER they've been left on a video. It's frustrating, but normal for Google, arguably the leaders in internet tech. * *_COUGH_* *

Most people these days unfortunately want super short form videos, explainers and content, and little to no tolerance for longer, more detailed stuff. I'd consider sharing it with them in a way they may be more receptive to it, like kind of breaking it down into pieces. 10-20 minutes a time. May also make it more digestible for them as well. If you go to therapy, you could ask if they'd be willing to have your parents come in and help guide them along with it, even if it needs to be split up into multiple appointments. I'd also definitely encourage you to share it with your therapist, again, if you have one, as well. They may better be able to communicate and encourage your parents to view it with you, and of course may get some very helpful understanding and insights into what about it you feel you understand and relate to, and wish to convey. It could be very beneficial long term.

I also don't enjoy talking to my therapist for controversial reasons, and it's not up to me whether or not to find another one, assuming he even has competition.

@@DanielP-jq4dj That's rough. I'm assuming you're under age and that's why you can't choose who you see. If so, I have a lot of personal experience with that, though for me it's exactly why I have major issues with Psychiatrists and Psychologists to this day (given that's what they were when I was underage). Those stupid laws disallowing us from choosing who we get to see for our health and stability is infuriating. That said, there should be a clip feature which would allow you to clip parts of the videos down into small, bite size pieces according to your needs of each thing you'd like to share specifically. That might work for you to not have the file size issues, and they'd come with the links.

@@DanielP-jq4dj Yeah that's entirely understandable. I'm 31, and I live with my mom (never actually lived on my own yet). Communication can be so freaking intense and difficult sometimes for sure. Having Autism makes it even tougher. Like we know exactly what we're saying, and to us it's the most basic common sense, but for some reason half the time or more no one understands what we're saying. It's so exhausting. I wish I had more advice for you man, it feels sad and really shitty I don't have anything else to give as help though. I really hope things work out for you though and you achieve a breakthrough somehow. Feel free to let me know what parts/specific things in this stream you want to share most, and I'll seek to edit it down into a more bite size video or set of videos for you to share. It's the least I can do for you, and if it helps you out, it inevitably will help others, too.

I can definitely understand people's uhh... "misguided enthusiasm" toward putting a station under the harbor and bridge haha. I certainly can also understand with SkyTrain specifically why many would opt to just serve Surrey over Vancouver proper. The temptation to slap a another couple intermediate stations in either Kelso/Longview (to compensate for the lack of a Vancouver, WA station, or a Chehalis/Centralia station was stronger than appeared in my video, too. I actually spent around 15 minutes explaining all the possible logical justifications for the prior stop, then quite literally said "...and that's why I'm going just throw everything I said out the window and pretend it never happened." A three hour endeavor boiled into 40 minutes or so was better than I expected, but you know the almost neurotic back and forthing that happens that occupies SO MUCH of this kind of process/project. That all said, I am pleasantly surprised to see you here in the first place! haha. But it's rad as hell to hear and see others point out the similarities in the processing of a technically fictional transit system and absolute logistical nightmare. I am a big fan & subscriber to your channel and enjoy your videos, however more succinct and less... all over the place yours are haha. My friend, you could look at some of my other videos I did on JWs, especially the first two if you want to feed the drama and negativity train, or, you could watch a endless supply of other people here who have made content specifically focusing in on all that stuff, and absolutely bashing them for it. Frankly, it is such a over-covered set of problems for the JWs it's been in pop culture DEEP for decades already. It's known globally. That makes me more inclined to only breifly touch on them unless I'm showcasing more information, documents or leaks from the GB/Bethel about them and the many national lawsuits they've been losing because of it all.

That's our current definition, but not the original first definition of the word. Our current definition is only part of the way back into the word's etymology. My friend is a academic who's work is translating ancient Hebrew and Aramaic, who has the documentation of the original first use of the word in Ancient Hebrew, not Greek. That's the thing about words, the older they are, the more their use and definitions all change, often wildly.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m an ex-jw myself and I have lots of resentment towards that religion or religion in general but to claim so boldly that something like church comes from circus or a brothel is wrong and biased. No where could I find such connection and I searched all day yesterday. Also, church or similar interpretations are used in germanic languages pretty much, in latin languages, it’s derived from the Latin “ecclēsia” which means a gathering. The point being, make sure your resentment doesn’t turn into bias, especially when providing information to a larger audience.

@@ivoryantlers7418 It's not from some weird warped form of bias or resentment that I state that it came from Circus or Brothel. You insisting I've made it up is false. My academic friend is Jewish and as I noted, literally has his expertise in ancient Hebrew, and the first scripts, scrolls and tablets that lead to the formation of the main religions, and eventually the formation of the bible (which of course was heavily cherry picked, and ignores endless amounts of the original texts). And those are all written in Aramaic and Ancient Hebrew. It's from that expertise and heavy studying and research he found the word and was able to figure out it's etymology, thus proving it directly evolved from that originally, to the more modern greek and latin based definitions everyone knows today. That's how language works, it's changes heavily over time. You don't have to believe any of it, and we can agree to disagree, but I won't recant my notation and belief in that knowledge and experience he's bestowed unto me on it's etymology, however naive that may seem to others. Again, my noting of that is not pulled from my ass in order to weaponize some bias against religion. You can believe it is, that's your choice, but it doesn't make it reality. Edit: I also want to make a correction to my own notion that the etymology of Chruch meaning Circus and thus Brothel came from Hebrew - I misunderstood one crucial piece of detail, which was that it came from Greek itself, dating back 3-4 thousand years ago in it's origins. It did originally mean circus and brothel, however, that part I did not confuse or otherwise get wrong.

Thank you for that perspective. It may be true, but I personally have a hard time believing it given so many people have told me "___ loves you in their own fucked up way", to which doesn't make sense to consider love at that point. Genuinely love and compassion cannot be anything other than itself, and when things like that are said, that is making excuses to attempt to convince oneself that the love is there. Love cannot be twisted, weird or fucked up. Love is a unmistakable thing with a unique energy signature. Everything is energy and has its own unique frequency, and love may just be the most unique and powerful of them all. Experiencing the abuse and manipulation not just from JWs, but from a parent has allowed me to learn that. My family has told me that "in his own fucked up way" throughout my adult life, while we were all subject to that abuse and manipulation. It makes me realize that if people got tortured by a family member, they'd make the same argument. "No, I think ___ loves us in his own twisted way." It shows me someone can go through just about anything, and still think the best of the person and that the person genuinely "loves them" anyway. Cognitive dissonance is what I believe that to be. Perhaps because of the trauma we've experienced, it makes it a crutch and some kind of comforting thought to paint the idyllic picture for ourselves that there's still genuine love there somewhere. I'll admit I am not a very trusting person from my life experience so far, and even more so just observing humanity in general throughout my life and through history. And my mom who's been through the most fucked up experiences of anyone in my family having found herself as the "best in everyone" apologist type of person as a result of her trauma has really ensured I veer stronger towards the opposite direction in my outlook on life (learned a lot of lessons there of how that's not healthy either to be like her), so I'm sure I am far more cynical than the average person. So I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't agree with me here either. Because of it however, I just don't feel comfortable with the idea of "they do love you, they're just in too deep to show it". For the record, I've always lived first hand with a addict who was also deeply mentally ill in my eldest brother Nathan. So I have that experience too. Outside of his highs, he always at least tried to reach out and talk and show the love. Through both severe mental illness and a severe addiction to meth, he never did what many addicts do and just... Love exclusively within his addiction's control. It's wild how much experience I have with all this kids of stuff because of my family life. Would I like to believe like anyone that people under all the trauma, baggage, defensive facades and indoctrination/disease truly love one another? Of course. But it is unrealistic, especially given human history. Seems like fantasy to me personally. I honestly don't even know if this is disagreement or not with you, as I'm left feeling all over the place and scrambled with it. I think as usual I'm just sharing my own perspectives on it. Thank you again for sharing your perspective though. I really appreciate it. I haven't seen either of those movies, but have heard of them. May have to watch them at some point.
